Sorry - realised I should have posted under drugs
Hi - thankyou to everyone for the warm welcome and advice in my newly diagnosed thread a couple of weeks ago. Sorry not to have posted more but I have struggled with gritting my teeth to the end of term (3 days to go) and getting used to new meds and diagnosis. etc
I have noticed one thing, since being on the full dose of MTX that my tongue feels almost burnt and numb straight after taking them. I took them about an hour ago and the place where they touched my tongue in the brief moment before I swallowed them with a drink feels peculiar, as it has for the past 3 weeks. Does this make sense to anyone?
Another thing I wondered is if anyone has recommended an info leaflet or similar for family/colleagues/friends to read about RA. People think it is a sign of old age or that they also have a 'touch of RA' in their knee, hip etc.
Just wanted to say how helpful the site is - really grateful for all I have read and learned XX Ailsa
